Guest Comments from Pat & Kirby Holkestad, Danielle and Nicole Boileau, Prince Rupert, BC, Canada

Wow! It is incredible here…

We mostly wanted a quick visit so we could spend some time with Karen, but found a peaceful haven! We can see why she loves it here so much.

We enjoyed relaxing by the pool, eating the fabulous food, meeting all the interesting folks at the dinner table, the comfy accommodations and especially catching up on Karen’s adventures.

Oh and of course…snorkeling in the pool ~ diving down after the dangerous crocodiles and spiders.

Tomorrow we are off again in search of more adventures but this has truly been one of the highlights of our trip.

Thanks to everyone!

Roxy and Mark Sylvesters Belize Trip Review

Thank you for a marvelous time. We wish we had another 8 days here. All of the guides for our trips were awesome with special note to Louis. His portrayal of the human side of the Maya people really put things into perspective.

Belize Trip review from Jennie & Matthew, Boiling Springs, Carlisle, PA, USA

The Jungle Dome Family is so fantastic!!

Always there to help you with anything you can desire. And the food….yum!!! I thought I’d chronicle our days here with the favorite things of the day:

  1. Trip 1: Kayaking….A beautiful and relaxing first day. Of course, we did have some excitement…men were shooting iguana out of the trees to eat! Our guide was very informative with info from Trumpet trees to tasting all spice leaves from a tree along the way

  2. Trip 2: Zip Line & Cave Tubing….a cool and cloudy day today….zip lining was incredible, then we took a walk through the jungle on our way to the cave. Make sure to take your checklist:

    • 1. Eat Sugar Cane

    • 2. Dine on a Termite or 2

    • 3. Careful not to step on the Leaf Cutter Ants

    • 4. Poke a Tarantula in its hole

    • 5. Relax as you float down a lazy river

    • 6. Come home and have dinner with your new extended family

  3. Trip 3: Black Hole Drop….Amazing, amazing, amazing. Beautiful albeit tough hike, loved the rappelling and did I mention…amazing?

  4. Trip 4: ATM cave….wow what a way to end our time here!

Thank you so much for sharing your kindness. The staff is so wonderful and pleasant. You’ve truly put a slice of the good life smack dab in the middle of the jungle.

Guest Comments from Pascal and Deanne Spehar, Blue Springs, MO, USA

Is it a hotel? Is it a resort? It’s the Jungle Dome! This perfectly named spot is a perfect destination for travelers like ourselves…..great people, great food, great service! And the location and setting are great. It’s an adventure just getting here.

We love the personal service, the intimate size and the great local people. The Belizeans seem to be kind and happy and our hosts Andy, Simone & their boys are sweet as can be. We felt so special in Poolside Apartment 2…what did we do to deserve this room….thank you!

We also want to thank our tour guides who are all so friendly, but more importantly, extremely knowledgeable….Louis at Xunantunich, Eddy on horseback, Carlos for cave tubing, Juan at the Zoo and the boys at the zip line

We look forward to three more days at the islands but are worried that we’ll miss the Jungle Dome….We hope to return with our kids

Guest Comments from Jan and Cameron Kleinert from New York, USA

When we were planning this trip, 4 nights sounded like plenty of time to spend here. Now that it’s time to fly home tomorrow, we certainly wish we had more time here. Everything about this vacation has been fantastic. Each of the tours we took were excellent.

Manuel was a great guide for the ATM trip and a special treat was that the archaeologist (his uncle) was leading a group of students through the cave that day so we got to listen in on his lecture as well. Carlos was our guide for both Caracol and cave tubing. He was so fun and friendly and obviously has a genuine interest in what he is doing. He is so knowledgeable about local history, plants, animals, etc. Thanks to Carlos we got to taste both sugar cane and termites today.

Aside from the tours, everyone at the Jungle Dome is just wonderful. It felt more like visiting friends and family than staying at a resort. Having dinner and sharing the great food and stories with other guests was a great way to end the days.

When we were planning this trip, I think I read a review on Tripadvisor from a guest who said that if you stayed here you would be planning your next trip here before you even left…they were right!

Thanks to everyone here for a very memorable trip!
